Sterna Analyst Builder is a web-based graphical Integrated Design Environment (IDE), which enables business analysts to rapidly assemble and customize Sterna Business Positioning System™ (BPS) analytics applications. Using a simple and intuitive wizard-based interface, Sterna Analyst Builder guides the business analyst in building the Business Views – user interface elements of the Sterna BPS application – and the Constraint Propagation Network that defines the mathematical relationships between the organization’s Business Communities.

The Analyst Builder provides complete flexibility to:
Define the mathematical computations that are performed on the data. Utilizing an intuitive Business Mathematics syntax, business analysts use a point-and-click interface to select one of many predefined statistical models (e.g. linear regression) and to define custom models as may be relevant.
Define the visual composition of each Business View:
Operational Position: select from available chart options (bar graph, trend graph, gauge), define target values, metrics, scale, and more.
Money Surface™: select to define the mathematical relationship between operational deviation from target performance and financial impact.
Additional insights: define computations for additional metrics related to the Operational Position.
Define the drill-down paths, filters, and dimensions – all without a single line of code – using which the user will navigate through the system.
Selectively group Business Views by Business Community, and apply individual or community-based permissions to each Business View, thus enhancing collaborative decision making without compromising business security.
Sterna Analyst Builder not only allows business analysts to easily create Business Views from scratch, it also allows to enhance the predefined functionality provided by the Sterna Packaged Libraries.
